They are one of the best-established oil boiler manufacturers in the UK. Considering there are over 4 million homes across the UK that are not connected to the gas grid, it’s safe to say that the oil boiler market is still thriving.

Benefits of Choosing a Warmflow Boiler

Over 45 years of heating homes

The one aspect of manufacturing that can never be compensated for by any other thing other than time is experience. You always have to appreciate the time a company has been around. Not only does this give the brand an edge, but it also shows that their products can stand the test of time and they have goals to continue growing their products and improving them. Warmflow has been operating for over 45 years and is now a market leader in oil boiler production.

Market-leading innovation

Warmflow has built its name through hard work and constant research. The boiler brand has managed to launch some innovative technologies and currently have the only double-A rated combi boiler in the UK and Ireland. Their diverse plastic flue system is the most versatile in the market today and the boiler comes with an in-built temperature control to guarantee complete safety when using the boiler.

Long Warranties

Most users consider warranties as a great way of relieving the pressure that comes with owning a new appliance. But they are also a show of faith the manufacturer has in its products. Warmflow offers warranties of between 5-7 years with its range of boilers. Compared with what other competitors offer, it’s safe to say the brand has a lot of faith in the products they have in the market.

Installer friendly

Any reputable boiler manufacturer understands that the installers are just as important as the users. A boiler that is easy to install gets a lot of referrals from the installer and it saves you money in installation fees which are a significant cost when you’re buying and installing a new boiler.

Warmflow Boiler Warranty

Warmflow offers favourable warranties with every boiler purchase to provide the buyer with complete peace of mind. Each boiler you buy comes with a 24-month warranty from the date of manufacture.

If you purchase the combi boiler, the water jacket and thermal store come with a guarantee of up to 5 years from the date of manufacture as well. However, the warranty doesn’t cover the burner, handling, labour or shipping.

What’s covered by the warranty?

As long as the warranty is active, your boiler and parts which include the controls, plate heat exchangers and other associated components within the boiler casing like the burner and flue (if these are supplied by Warmflow) are covered by the warranty.

How to extend the warranty

To continue enjoying the comfort and peace that comes with knowing you have a warranty in place, you can extend it. By following simple steps, you can extend the warranty to 5 or 7 years for the heat exchanger. You can apply online on the company’s website to qualify for the extended warranty.

Some of the boilers like the Warmflow Titanium range also comes with an enhanced 5-year warranty on parts and labour.

Terms and conditions

It’s important to read the fine print and understand what you need to do to keep the warranty active for its full length.

Warmflow requires that you have the boiler installed and commissioned by a Warmflow engineer. If not, the boiler should be installed by an OFTEC registered engineer. After completing the installation, you need to complete and return the guarantee registration form to the manufacturer within 30 days.

You will also need to keep your boiler serviced every 12 months by a Warmflow or OFTEC registered engineer and have all the relevant paperwork ready.

How to register the warranty

There are two ways you can register and activate the warranty. You can either fill and return the guarantee registration form and send it back to Warmflow or, register online through the Warmflow website.

Warmflow Common Problems and Fault Codes

Boilers are built to last for years. But, for the boiler to last that long, you have to take proper care of it. One of the ways you can do this is by familiarising yourself with the different problems that your boiler might run into.

Understanding what you need to do when your boiler has a problem is key in preventing further damage to the boiler and also cutting back on the cost of fixing the boiler. It could also save you the inconvenience of having to wait for the engineer when you can easily fix the boiler.

This short guide will help you understand your Warmflow boiler better.

Boiler failing to ignite

If there’s an ignition problem with your Warmflow boiler, the reset button will be illuminated. That should alert you that there’s a fault with the oiler and in most cases, the fuel is not getting into the burner.

Suggested fix

You can try resetting the boiler twice. If this doesn’t get the flameworking, you will need an engineer to come in and check for blockages in the fuel lines and other potential problems.

No heat or hot water

When there’s no heat or hot water coming from your boiler, there are a few things that could be going wrong. These include airlocks, diaphragms issues with the thermostat, failure of motorised valves and in some cases low water level.

Suggested fix

Because there are so many things that could go wrong, it’s best to start with the simplest and those that you can handle yourself. Check the boiler pressure or the thermostat. If these seem to be working fine, then you probably have a broken diaphragm, an airlock or a faulty valve. Each of these requires to be replaced so you need to give your installer a call.

Low boiler pressure

Boiler pressure is an issue with all brands of boilers. Sometimes, it could be the result of an overtime loss of pressure and in other cases, leaks are to blame. If you notice your boiler has lost pressure, the best approach is to check for leaks before you try anything.

Suggested fix

If you’re certain there are no leaks, you can use the filling loop to top up water which consequently tops up the pressure. If you suspect a leak, have an engineer come in to assess the boiler and conduct repairs. Leaks have to be repaired quickly because they escalate easily.
