Sime boilers are not only energy-efficient, they are also environmentally friendly and they carry the mantle not only in producing the boilers but also in the design of the boiler and even its packaging. Lovers of nature will definitely have an extra reason to consider buying a Sime boiler for their homes.

These include oil fired and solid energy boilers that come in various power outputs for all homes.
Ultimate safety features
safety features are always overlooked when it comes to boiler design. Sime has reinvented the essence of having ample safety features with any boiler by having an adaptive gas valve that not only improves safety but also reduces maintenance requirements and makes commissioning the boiler easier.
Easy installation
Sime claims their easy to install and lightweight boilers can take as little as 10 minutes from box to wall. They come configured with DIN standard connections for quicker installation and a three-piece case for easier servicing and accessibility to all the parts.
Sime Boiler Warranty
One of the best ways to gauge the quality of any boiler you intend to buy is through the warranty. If the manufacturer doesn’t have faith in the range of products they offer, how should you?
Sime offers a standard 2-year warranty on most of its boilers. There are others that come with 5 or 10-year warranties depending on the type of boiler you purchase. You have the option of extending the warranties for an additional cost if you would like to continue enjoying the peace of having your boiler covered past the warranty period.
What’s covered by the warranty?
If your boiler suffers mechanical damage within the duration of the warranty, you will need to get in touch with Sime. They will send an engineer or an appointed contractor to inspect the boiler. The warranty will cover repairs, labour, or replacement as the company deems necessary.
Terms and conditions
There are certain requirements you need to follow to keep the warranty active. To start with, your boiler must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer and the Benchmark commissioning checklist completed by the installer and left with the boiler for reference.
The boiler warranty will commence on the date of installation and without proof of purchase, the warranty will commence on the date of manufacture as indicated on the data plate.
You will need to service the boiler every 12 months within 30 days of the installation anniversary of the boiler. The service should be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer and records added to the Benchmark.
You can read the fine print on the warranty card to find other responsibilities that you should carry out to make sure you have the best possible experience with your boiler warranty for the longest possible period.

Sime Boiler Problems and Common faults
Are you having problems with your new Sime boiler? This guides will help you understand your new boiler better. You will know what to expect and even some possible fixes that you could try before you call in an engineer.
Most importantly, the guide will let you know when it’s time to call in your boiler installer to have a look at the boiler.
PCB fault
Most of the boilers that had the PCB fault have since been fitted with a safety thermostat and no issues have been reported after. However, in case you notice your boiler overheating, it could be the PCB has a fault and you need to have it checked.
Suggested fix
If you suspect the boiler has a PCB fault, you should first turn off the boiler and disconnect it from the gas supply. It might be a fire hazard. Call in an engineer to have a look at the boiler. Depending on the findings, the boiler can be fitted with a new safety thermostat or the PCB replaced.
Diverter valve failure
You can tell your diverter valve is failing if you’re only getting hot water or if the hot water tap is only running lukewarm.
Diverter valves are tricky to diagnose. But some of the tell-tale signs are mentioned above. If you notice your system is not producing hot water and you have a diverter valve issues, there’s not much you can do.
Suggested fix
Call in an engineer who will either replace the diaphragm washer and spindles or replace the entire diverter valve. It’s important to be extra cautious when opening up a Sime boiler to avoid getting water on the electrical systems.
Boiler pressure too high and climbing higher
Boiler pressure is a sensitive matter when it comes to boilers. So much so that if the boiler pressure is not right, most boilers will lockout. Low boiler pressures are just as dangerous as high boiler pressure and you should keep a close eye on this.
Most experts think this could be a corrosion issue which causes the cold water to cross over and fill the heating circuit. Even if the boiler pressure is fine, the gauge might indicate that the boiler is increasing. Pitting in the plate heat exchanger is to blame for this error.
Suggested fix
The plate heat exchanger needs to be replaced. It is an easy task, but one that should only be handled by a qualified heating engineer.
